I discovered the other day that my computer at home can no longer access this website. I hadn't come here for a month or so. I've always been able to in the past. Right now I am using a computer at work to post this.

My computer at home is running XP Home, IE7, connected with a cable modem. I've tried clicking on the address in Favorites, google searching Windowsbbs to make sure the address hasn't changed, and clicking on the link in an email I got concerning a reply to a thread I posted the other night (also had to post from this work computer.) I get the Internet Explorer cannot display this page response.

    Any suggestions will be appreciated.

WindowsBBS was moved to a new server/domain this week (Monday) - it is likely that your ISP has yet to update their DNS.

Use OpenDNS on your home computer. It will resolve the problem with the server change.

Hi, Had the same problem Tuesday?. when I tried to log on I got a " authorisation problem #401.message.
I tried many different ways to open the site.
I rang Microsoft and while I was talking to the Tech ( he couldn't get on ). I tried again and it opened. I guess they were just getting it sorted out at my provider , all's well now . Cheers Des.:)

Yes. Unfortunately DNS is updated rather irregularly by ISP's. And since this is a database driven site, I had to 'lock' down the old site & move the database to the new server...
