cannot install from cd

    i recently had to have a new hard drive installed on my xp and since doing so i cannot install games from a cd. can you please help? :confused:

    What happens if you click Start > Control Panel > Add/remove Programs > "Add New Programs" button > "CD or Floppy" button. Be sure the CD is in the drive bay of course and follow the screen directions.

    biddie--If surferdude2's suggestion does not help, could you provide a little more detail? What happens when you install the CD? What happens when you try to install the program onto the hard drive? Do you have the problem with all installation CD's or just one? Do you get any error messages?
