Burn cd's?

    I cant burn a cd that will work in my 1996 gmc jimmy. Is there a way to burn a cd like the ones you would buy over the shelf? thanks

    If the cd player is as old as the vehicle is there's a chance it won't be able to read any burned cd's. You could try some different brands of cd's. Some of the older cd players will work with one brand and not with another. No guarantees though.

    No, they're pressed instead of burned.

    The cd player in your car needs to be able to read and play CD-Rs. If it can't there's nothing you can do about it.

    Make sure you use a CD-R disc (not a CD-RW), and burn uncompressed music files (wav or cda). Also make sure you finalize the disc (not multisession). Older CD players can't read CD-RWs or MP3s.
