Bugging me

Hi All

I've bought a 2nd hand Pentium 3 PC with Windows 2000 Pro. Despite using Norton/WinDoc/DrWatson etc. I am unable to iron out techno glitches...HELP!!

Constant svchost.exe problem. Error log says:

C0000096 <no symbols> (0052F863)

Also have a problem creating/repying to messages in Outlook Express:

Ox8007000E Out of Memory

Additionally I find IE won't follow links on web pages and sometimes links on the desktop don't work (e.g. Search).

Most problems resolve themselves on reboot, but will reoccur unpredictably (tho' I sense opening IE and OE at the same time is anathema for my PC).

Can I remedy these problems without reinstalling the OS?
