Hello, i stumbled across this board while searching for a solution to my problem so i hope someone can point me to the right direction.

My pc has been crashing recently for no reason and i cant target exactly when it happens its more of a random event..

    The info the bsod displays is STOP 0x000000d1 (0x00000000, 0x00000002, 0x00000000, 0x00000000) DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL
It does not tell me which driver has caused the bsod and that is my problem..

It has happened when i was using photoshop and internet explorer. i thought it might be the display drivers but i updated them and it still happens.

Is there a way to find the problem driver? i have tried to use verifier.exe that comes with windows but i dont understand how it works.

    I am running Win2k Proffesional SP3

Have you examined your event logs? They may have detail that will make more sense than the stop message itself or may at least point to a specific system.

Also, Stop 0x000000D1 or DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL has pretty good ideas for troubleshooting 0x0d1 errors.

It is absolutely a driver error and caused by bad code in the driver (programmer goof).
