Hey WindowsBBS! I've got a very annoying problem which been bugging me for a while now, and none seems be able to figure out what the heck is the causing it. The issue is that my browser (Firefox / Chromie) looses it's connection to Internet every 10-20 mins, and stays dead for about half a minute. Then everything works fine again.

The weird thing is that it's only browser which can't connect to the Internet, if I am downloading anything, or talking over Skype, it doesn't get interrupted at the time bworser shows "Page load error ".

I am running Windows Xp sp3, with Kaspersky firewall, to a thomson router, and have a custom VPN via ivacy.com, which however is turned off at the moment browser goes nuts, and I think problem began before I installed VPN.

who knows - wi fi in the end is all vodoo
Make sure that your router is high and not cluttered
The most important thing that you can do is change the channel generally in wi fi
Change it from the default to channels 1 or 11
Also not sure of your version of firefox but maybe update that as well
Try Opera as well and see if the same disconnection happens
    Good luck

What kind of Internet provider? Cable or DSL? If DSL, access the router and see if have a setting for DHCP lease time, and set to highest available time.
