that is what i got from microsoft this morning.
the error report popped up right after i turned the real time protection for security essentials. which failed to come on after the restart from the microsoft updates,i got 9.
here is what it was about
    http://wer.microsoft.com/responses/....3.0?SGD=3025da42-3002-428f-9caf-251c9c095f8f

okay the only problem i had was like i said mse real time protection failed to come on. even checked event veiwer and it was clean,no yellow anythings

so why woudl ms send me error report of blue screen of death? or is xp going crazy?

    any ideas?

    Do you mean Device Manager?

Event Viewer should show an error if you did have a BSOD.

Something obviously triggered the sending of this report from MS but if all is functioning OK I would not worry unless it happens again.

Just incase there is anything to be concerned with I would follow the advise given in the report. If MSE keeps getting switched off something is not quite right.

Follow the advise and then see if this problem persists.
