I have everything the way I want it, except one thing. The numbers are to small in the clock (lower right corner).
Is there a way to make the numbers bigger in the clock?
    Thank you,
    Chris.

    Hi chris,

Using what is at hand, have you tried setting your font size to large or extra large via a:
*rightclick a blank spot on desktop and select properties
*on the "appearance tab" use the dropdown arrow on the right of font field
*size of font can be adjusted to either small, large or extra large.
*apply and okay your way out.

Barring the above there are third party apps that can give you a multitude of customizable clock displays in the systray. Tclock or tclockex has been recommended in the past but a google search for such should have tons.

I use tclocklight, myself, I like the cuckoo chime. :)

    Thank you for the reply.

I don't want my fonts bigger, I have them the way I like. Just the clock.
I tried the Tclock you suggested. Same size, just a little more information. I right click, properties, it doesn't come up. No way to adjust the size (or anything).
    Chris.

Any idea how I can remove Tclock? Does not show up in add/remove programs. Revo uninstaller doesn't see it. How can I get rid of it?
    Thank you,
    Chris.

    Hi Chris,

I guess you didn't like it, sorry? Any particularly reason?

To answer your question did you follow the instructions for installing? That was on the second link I provided:
    http://homepage1.nifty.com/kazubon/tclocklight/help/en/install.html

Instructions for uninstalling is provided. It's mostly just ending program, deleting folder with files included with in and taking care of the regkey if desired, not necessary but is a user choice.

I didn't like it because it is the same size as before. When I went to properties to see if I could adjust, it wouldn't open. I could see something on the toolbar but it would not open. Asked if I wanted to run the program.

    Hi Chris,

I can include a step by step if your still interested. It's really quite simple for me as I am familiar with steps. The program should more than fit your needs for what you want to do. Font and color is your choice and size can be anywhere from 8pt. to 72pt. Most of the option settings you will not even mess with.

Which file link did you download on the page:
    http://homepage1.nifty.com/kazubon/tclocklight/index.html

The above ^site page can be a little confusing.

Note* screenshot of this thing in it's simplest form and a very small font size:

    Hi Chris,

    That's the right zip.
Do you want the step by step or are you content with getting rid of it?

Ah heck! I'll put them here just for the boards archives, in case someone else should need them later.

This is what I did. You can follow procedure exactly or modify to suit your needs.

I downloaded tclocklight-040702-3.zip to my desktop.

I extracted all files and folders to a folder named "tclock "

Once extracted, I moved my newly created tclock folder to c:\program files (you can put this folder where ever you wish).

I opened folder and clicked on the file named tclock.exe and ran it. This resulted in the tclock defaults being displayed in my systray. I didn't like defaults so I customized them to suit my taste.

I right clicked on the time and from the context popup menu selected "Tclock Properties "

From popup, under the heading "clock ", I clicked on "format ".

I noted that "English" was already the default "locale ", so I didn't need to change that.

    I unchecked all except:
    hour
    minute
    12 hr

    Clicked apply

I then went up to "color and font" (still located under heading clock)

    I left everything alone except:
the "text" color. I choose white.
then used the font choice which I "changed to "Arial "
and size choice which I selected 14. (your choice here)

Once again I hit the apply button

Clicked the okay button to close and wah-la

Made a shortcut to the executable tclock.exe and put it in my startmenu startup folder. This is optional and users choice. Alternative is placing the shortcut where ever you wish and manually clicking on it, when you choose.

To finish up, I moved the tclock zip off my desktop and stored it away where I keep my downloaded files.

I did the same thing, except when I clicked on properties, the pop up doesn't pop up. I see it's open, like a browser shows up in the tool bar, but I can't get properties to show.

Actually, when I click properties, it asks me if I want to run the program. Chris.

Chris, Be sure you're right-clicking the Time Display being shown in the Taskbar and not the Tclock.exe itself. It works very well for me. First double click the tclock.exe file and you'll see the new Time display replacing the Windows version. Right-click on that display and scroll down and click "Tclock Properties." That should open the screen of options for customizing the display.

If that's what you did, and it doesn't work, then perhaps I haven't helped you any and I'll bow out.

I right click holding the cursor over the new date and time, in the lower right corner. Click Tclock properties, up pops, publisher can't not be verified, are you sure yo want to run this? I click yes. Nothing happens.
Don't bow out after I install something and it doesn't work.
    Chris.

Chris, I don't run that program so I have no in depth knowledge. I downloaded and installed it to help me understand your problem and possibly help you. I have since dumped it.

I must say it sounds like you have some Security setting that is not allowing you to properly access the full features of the Tclock program. It worked very well on my computer.

EDIT: It could also be a policy setting, if you're running XP-Pro.

    Hi Chris,
It sounds like you installed all correctly and have gotten as far as a right click "tclock properties" call but a "thus far unknown security quard dog" is demanding a publisher verification. Ideally once you click run it anyway, it should run. You'd think if it were going to object it would have done so before allowing tclock.exe to run. The only place I've seen this setting is in in Internet Explorer, click Tools/Internet Options > Advanced. Under the Security heading.

I have to agree with suferdude1, in that this sounds like some sort security setting in some program you have that is not allowing this to run as expected. I don't know what to say. I've used tclock light for many years through many computers and operating systems and never had a problem. The install and setup only takes a couple minutes.

I did find another install instruct with pictures included:
    http://mixeduperic.com/Windows/Software/a-cool-little-clocktool-tclock.html

Note* tcprop.exe is the executable that runs the properties setting manager for tclock. While I don't think this will have any better results than calling it from the systray, it may be worth a shot so try opening the folder you've extracted the tclock files in and double click on tcprop.exe. Let's see what happens.

Can't say we're not giving this a good try. I'm just not sure where to go from here. I'll have to think on this one.......

Perhaps try to access it while booted to Safe mode?? That might circumvent whatever security setting that is affecting it.
