I just purchased a notebook computer for my wife for Christmas and I'm clearing out all the pre-loaded junk and installing the stuf we need and want on there. My question is that this thing came loaded with a program called "Big Fix ". i wanted to know what the knowledgeable folks on this board thought of this. Is it junk? Needed? Useful? or just more wasted HDD space? i did a google search but didn't really find much and I much prefer trusting the helpful experts here.

    Thanks, Kevin

I used Big Fix for a long time and it worked just fine.

What it amounts to is it monitors the computer and knows where to get drivers and updates. If you go to BigFix.com I'm sure they will let you know what it is all about.
