    Are there any advantages to a VPN other than privacy? Does it cut down on E-mail junk, number of ads? I'm curious as to the other benefits. Thanks

    Wouldn't really make a difference on your SPAM.

    As far as the rest goes, it does usually slows down your speed as it has to be encrypted and than unencrypted when it gets to where it is going.
