Belkin Wireless Router Problem

Hi everyone i am new to your forum an i need some help. Um i recently bought a Belkin Wireless N Router for 2 computers i have running Windows XP Home Edition. I play this pc game called F1 Challenge 99-02 from EA Sports. In the multiplayer i tried creating a game server for people to join in but, am waiting for like hours an hours waiting which is very fustrating I ask a friend about this an it seems that my router is blocking something from me creating a game server in F1 Challenge. Any ideas how to unblock the problem? Big thankyou for any help i get.

 

You need to find out which port(s) the game uses and then, at the router, forward that port to the PC acting as a server. You should be able to get the port number from one of the following:

1. The game setup
2. The documentation that came with the game
3. The game manufacturer's support system
