When I come to the BBS, I get "Done, but with errors on the page" on my status bar.

Dbl clicking the yellow exclamation point gets me a window that says in the details,

    Line: 533
    Char: 1
    Error: Syntax error
    Code: 0
    URL: http://www.windowsbbs.com/newthread.php?do=newthread&f=6

I don't seem to have any problems viewing the pages. I'm using IE 6 sp2.

I dfon't have the problem with Mozilla.....

Just disable Script Debugging on the Advanced tab from IE's Tools > Options. Also make sure that Display a notification about every script error is unchecked.

    Thanks Arie,

It was disabled for IE but was not for (other). Works ok now. Only says "Done" in the status bar.

If you mean you can't add a picture, that feature is only available to contributing members.

If you would like to attach it to an email and send it my way with a link to this thread so I don't get confused, I'd be happy to put it in for you.

Thanks Newt but I am a contributing member.

I wasn't very clear. I now know how to attach a thumbnail but IE won't show the error so I can get a snapshot to show.

Right now I'm up on Firefox. I'll try IE again later.

Well, I have no clue... even with the boxes checked/uncheck to receive all possible errors I've been browsing for a while without an error... also used search.

Thanks Arie...It was working fine until I replied to a post. Now there is error on every page.

It's no biggie. I'll just not look at the bottom left corner.

See if it makes a difference if you place the domain windowsbbs.com in the Trusted sites zone.

Try deleting your temporary internet files. It's a long shot but it might do the trick. It is odd. I never get the error either.

My TIF's are cleared every time I close IE.

So far this morning everything is OK. I'm looking carefully to see when it starts. I'll report back.

    Thanks folks....

So far I have discovered that this error is completely random. It happens anytime after signing on or as I am signing on. I have also discovered that I can make it go away by refreshing the page.

Now I'm going to try it on other sites to see if it happens there....

Nope...Only on BBS. I tried it on about 15 or 20 of my favorites and couldn't make it happen. It is sitting down on my status bar as i type this.

Oh well, I guess I should get a life......
