Hi people I have a big problem. I recently installed windows xp on my IBM thinkpad, it was working fine for a day. I restarted the computer and an error message came up C /windows/system32/c_437.nls That file is damaged and need to know if anybody has any ideas. I've tried to boot up from the cd and run the repair function. Wasn't really helpful....

    Thanks,
    Dan

You should be able to copy that code page from the CD to the hard drive. Boot from CD into the recovery console and do the deed from the command prompt.

While you are there, I'd also suggest
    Code:
    chkdsk /r
in case you have other drive/file problems that just haven't surfaced yet.
