I am trying to locate BACKUP in Windows XP. I have a manual which does not indicate where to go to run it and I have searched SYSTEM TOOLS etc. Is it like Windows 98 where you had to install BACKUPS from the WINDOWS installation disk separately - an undocumented feature?
Please help as I need to RESTORE files I had backed up from Windows 98 before I reformatted and installed XP.
    Thanks in advance.

    John,

    A quote from a previous thread :

The Backup utility is not included in the default installation of Windows XP Home Edition. The Backup icon is not present on the Start menu in Windows XP Home Edition, and Backup is not listed in the Add or Remove Programs tool in Windows XP Home Edition. The Backup utility is included on the Windows XP Home Edition CD-ROM in the ValueAdd folder. To use Backup, you must install the utility manually.

In Pro Backup is installed by default - and is where you looked for it Programs > Accessories > System Tools
