I am running a HP Pavillion g6 which is running Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit.

I am experiencing an error when I run my monthly incremental back up using Windows 7 back up tool.
The error number is 0x80070003. It cannot find a file in my downloads library. I deleted the file a long time ago using eraser. It says that it completed the backup but skipped some files. The error occurs right at the end of the process.

I have followed the instructions http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/...80070003/394b57f0-5055-4780-a2d7-e24e09576c91. But all to no avail.
I am backing up to a DVD drive.

Can the message be ignored that comes up on the taskbar telling me to back up.

Are there better tools to use other than Windows Backup ?

    Many thanks for the recomendation.
Would I be able to reset Windows Backup tool so that it starts from the beginning. If I did this would it affect other processes?
