My company leases 7 servers from a very large Data Center. (DC)

I will be switching one of them to Terminal Server.

The DC is telling me that the current Server 2003 Standard Edition 32bit is an unauthenticated version and that I have to request a reload to an Authenticated Version.

On one hand the reload isn't a big deal since the machine isn't being used yet. On the other hand - unauthenticated version sounds like its NOT "Genuine."

    Thoughts:confused:

Unauthenticated may also mean that they don't support it. Ask them !

Course they support it since it's their machine.
And, I'm trying to gather info so that I can call them and be informed inadvance;)

A friend on another site guessed it might be a "image with the same key code" type issue....They have the correct number of codes but due to using the same code in the image process would prevent the adding of TS license.
