I've been looking around for a cross-browser script that would play several short .wav files from website buttons without forcing the user to download a plugin. IE works smooth but not NS. Should I just tell NS users they're outta luck? Thanks

    Hi zoobie,

You can use a simple table, which will accomplish what you want. I put up a test page for you:
    Test Wave File

However, if you're set on using JavaScript, you might check at the Netscape DevEdge site for a more elaborate solution. I have no experience with JavaScript, and can only give you Netscape resources:

Ok...Thanks. I want the sound to be preloaded and when the user click on the button, it instantly plays.

I'll check out those dev sites but have just found that .swf may just do the trick.

    Thanks

    Oh yeah....
