Audio/Video problem

    Hi, I have two computers,
    the desktop has 1.25Gb ram, 2.93Ghz intel, 64mb graphics, 100mbps
    the laptop has 1Gb ram, 1.7GHz Celeron M, 128mb graphics, 54mbps

    if i use the same webcam on both computers(not at the same time) on the laptop i have prefect sound and video, but on the computer i have poor sound and ok video

    One thing I know is important for webcam is DirectX. Enter
    dxdiag
    at the Start -> Run command line.
    Compare the DirectX versions on the first tab. There are some simple tests under the various tabs.
