Today I am working at home, my desktop in the company is windows 7 professional edition. I connect it remotely through my laptop at home by VPN.
My laptop is windows 7 ultimate.

Let us say the desktop in the office is named as "A ", my laptop at home is named as "B ".

Now I have an application running on "A" to record something from "B "'s microphone and save it as a wav file, however I hear nothing on "B ". Which means the audio redirection is not working.

    I followed the http://bloogish.com/285/remote-desktop-microphone-redirection/ and http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=2020918.

    But NO WAY.
    Thanks for help.

Hi zhshqzyc, Did you go to the MS link shown in your 1st link? It refers to Audio when using W7.
On looking at your links again. I've answered my own question. Neil.

Those links apply to Remote Desktop, a Windows service and application. You are using VPN to connect to the work computer, not Remote Desktop. To get audio you will have to change the settings in the VPN service at the work network, and possibly the settings in your VPN client at home.. Most VPNs by default don't have sound events and audio enabled because they consume more bandwidth.

Tony, I used SonicWall VPN to connect my company, then remote connected my desktop.

    What is the right action?
