Athlon or Intel?

    I am contemplating a new desktop for games and such and am curios as to ya'lls opinions on processors. Please post your pros and cons.

    Toms Hardware and the CPU Charts 2007 is a good starting point. You can compare any two processors.

    I haven't played a game in my whole life (I've flown a flight simulator once) so, I have no other advice to give.
