Hey guys. Im having a problem with my asus battery. My battery charges fine, but when the computer is left idle and goes to sleep mode the battery starts to discharge. This just started happening recently and im thinking it might be because of a bios update, but then again i dont know im not too good with computers. If anyone knows of anything i could do please help. Thanks guys.

Firstly, try to avoid doing a BIOS update unless you think you really need to. I look at it as the final possibility.

Maybe it was suggested in the instructions, but go into the BIOS settings and select Reset Defaults.

If you cannot trace it to any other cause, I would flash the CMOS (update the BIOS) back to a previous version. Avoid Beta versions.

PS Avoid using flash methods that run under Windows if possible. Use a removable disk method (floppy or CD/DVD) if you can.
