I have put up with this problem for a while. After a while of using the computer it decides to minimise some applications i use when i am using them. This is mainly games - i play then the screen minimises to the desktop, and even tho the program continues to run, i cant maximise it again and end up closing it through ctrl-alt-delete. Does anyone know what this might be?

    Rob001,

Is it possible that another application is making itself gain focus? For example, whenever I play any full screen game (GTA, Sims, Sim City, etc.) and I have AIM set to notify me of new mail, the game will minimize itself to the taskbar if the 'New Mail' notification pops up. I also have an app that puts a notification for other items in the tray but it causes the same results.

If this is what you are experiencing, you may want to try closing all other apps prior to playing games and, if any of these are needed, turning them back on one at a time.
