Anyone got any wellies

Life in Reggieville is interesting at the moment. My home town of Evesham is in the middle of the current UK floods:

The best thing about the experience is that it is bringing the best out of the community. Lots of neighbours helping each others. Strangers giving a hand.

With so many blocked roads people are walking around more than usual and stand in places talking and discussing with neighbours they would often barely acknowledge.

Too bad about all the misery this sort of weather brings - but good news about the sense of "community" that develops. I noted that one apartment complex, Riverside Apartments, appears to be aptly named - at least for the time being.

What the heck are "wellies "?

 

Maybe someone else can come to my rescue but I don't know what we call them other than galoshes or overshoes. I like "wellies" much better and have now incorporated that into my vocabulary.

 

If you don't have wellies, where do American sheep farmers put the ewe's back legs during amorous interludes? This only goes to prove the lack of sophistication on the other side of the pond.
