Any Experience with AbiWord?

I`ve checked some reviews and searched a bit and I`m thinking maybe I`d like to try AbiWord. Anybody here have any criticism one way or the other on how it does. All I`ve got now is word pad and note pad for word processors. Maybe there`s something that would be better for what little I do.I really don`t need any thing exotic or too complicated. I`d like to, when I get ready to type something, be it a poem or lyrics, or an E mail,or whatever, to have it set up so the default font, size, etc. would be ready to go. If you think I sound lazy, your right.
Any ideas appreciated.

 

Ignore the above thread! I downloaded AbWord to my computer that has ME OS just to see. It`s probably a good processor but a bit above my level of knowledge. It uninstalls easy.
