    Geri,

    Re: Panda report

In the on screen report the following was included: "We have detected that the McAfee Internet Security Suite 2007 protection on your PC is disabled and up-to-date ".
My McAfee security center states it is up and working.

    Hi
    Ok do this.
Click Start > Run type msconfig into the run box.
    Click the Startup Tab
Scroll down to this and put a check in the box next to this.
    mcagent.exe
    Click Apply and OK.
    OK any prompts.

The next time you restart your machine you will get a window on selective startup configeration, Put a check in the box "Do not show this...." and click OK

The only thing Panda is showing are cookies. Run ATF Cleaner again making sure you use the FireFox setting also.

    Please do this.

Click Start>Run in the run box copy and paste or type ComboFix /u then hit Enter to uninstall ComboFix and remove the files/folders it created. This action will also reset the System Restore points, removing the infected files there as well.

You can delete dss.exe and this folder if they were not deleted C:\Deckard.

Let me know how things are running.

    Thanks
    Geri

    Hi rondlac
That's good to hear, Glad I could help.

Not sure I understand here? You think you have reg entries that need removing?
My best advice is to leave them alone, if you are not receiving error messages and such, they are causing no harm and don't take up much space, the last thing you want to do is remove something essential.

Please look at this link for some preventive recommendations, It could keep you from ending up back here to the Spyware and Virus Removal Forums.

    I'll mark this one resolved.
