Back in June, I posted a question about the slow loading of Sea Monkey (using same title as this message). Since then, I got a new computer, which has Vista OS. Now SM loads in 2-10 seconds!! So maybe XP was the problem?

Thanks to all who tried to help with initial problem.

It may have not been XP, but, rather the processor speed, and memory (RAM). Are they different? Right.
My XP has a decent 2.8 GHz processor, but only 512 MB RAM. And, it chugs along pretty slowly.
New computers have, easily over four times more RAM.
