    Animated Gifs not moving

You're right - no enough information.
XP-512Meg-700mh IE6 The animations not moving are my own or those from other sources and they do move in my viewer. They do not show as placeholders.

I never thought to check the IE options but I will now.

Yes, they did move before- Will get back with more information after I check IE options

    Hi

You might mention what this viewer is and version to,,Id know nothing of that except maybe it changed something,,

Maybe tools internet options , programs tab
[] uncheck internet explorer should etc etc ok then go back and check it,, use the reset web settings button also,,, Im not sure all that this does, but wouldnt hurt to do..

another thing --if you downlad one of those gifs then open it with IE does it now move?

    Hi, TenBob ~

IE > Tools > Internet Options > Advanced > Multimedia

Checkmark the box 'Play animations in web pages'.

    Update on Animation Problem

I have a website on which I have posted several animated GIFs, some of my own and some I have acquired. They all show well under ACDSEE under WINXP with 512 Meg memory

They do not animate from my computer using IE6 OR Netscape.

I have tried the sites at another WIN98 computer elsewhere and also thru my wife's WIN98 computer running thru the same cable ISP but another account. These animate well.

I have to assume the problem is my computer somehow.

A site is http://shhh.homestead.com/ selecting sitemap and either captioned movies or meetings. In the first the marquee shown animates the lights and on 'meetings' a mouth animates.
