On animated Images, I see a big stylized "F" and when I mouse over it, it becomes a right arrow that I need to click to see the image. I'm seeing this on my.yahoo.com banners and most other images that are animated.

I have firefox installed on other pcs and it isnt a problem... just on this new laptop I just got and recently installed firefox.

any suggestions on what options to change?

    Thanks for your help.

I have never seen anything like that, but it seems like what I see when I have changed the Usercss file to prevent the instant loading of Flash driven images.
If I select vh1.com, I see five different windows, which say: Flash (click to play). I don't believe in blocking ads, but I can't accept animated ads.
You should be thankful if you have something which I had to search for.
But, I don't know what is the reason for your F. You must have some flash block. Check http://www.vh1.com
If you have several F's in it, you know what it is. It may be some security suite.
