amd k6 help

Howdy, i just got an old amd k6 with windows 98 ( not se ) I want to use this as a virtual computer. And to use it wireless but a teck at a local store said that Belkin F5D7230-4 802.11g Wireless DSL/Cable Gateway Router
will not work. And that Belkin 802.11g 54Mbps Wireless PCI Adapter would not work, just want your opinion ???? I am only going to use this to download trojans & viruses & such. I got the Idea in HJT classes some time ago. So any help will be appreciated ????

Your problem lies not with the K6 but with the operating system which is not compatable with a lot of 802.11G. Try 98se and get a wireless 802.11b card.

"Easy Install Software" is not supported and doing it the hard way may be a mind-bending experience if things don't work out perfectly (a short course in network setup is not SHORT! )
