Alternative to Microsoft's ActiveSync

I have an HTC Fuze phone running Windows Mobile 6.1.

I have been using ActiveSynch 4.5 and Outlook 2003 to backup the phone.

Multiple searches at the microsoft discussion groups confirmed that there is no way to keep multiple contact lists separate when using ActiveSync: for example, you want to back up your personal phone numbers and not have them (and the Calendar and the Notes and the whatever) be mixed into one giant file.

Anybody know of 3rd party software that will let me keep stuff separate? I don't even care if it links to Outlook, because I either work off my phone or go to the web version of my email (Yahoo/ATT/sbcglobal).
