OK all, try this one! (I'm still reading about the SVCHOST and NETWORK SERVICE problem...)

I just flashed an ECS P4S5A motherboard with the latest BIOS driver, making it a P4S5A2, put a P4C 2.2GHz CPU on it, a 60GB Maxtor drive, 512MB DDR PC2100 memory (floppy, cdrw blah, blah) and went to install XP. ALL went smooth, OS is loaded, motherboard drivers installed (XP didn't pick up SIS audio)
I go to stick in an IntelligentStick (thumbdrive) and BAM! BSOD for split second, computer restarts! I went to System Properties and uncheck automatic restart so I could read the error screen. Rebooted to the "has recovered from serious error..." Stuck in the InteliigentStick again...BAM! BSOD again. "DRIVER_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL... - pointing to USBOHCI.SYS" Looking things up, USB SIS 7001 Controller has IRQ of 11 and so does SIS Audio. And "Change settings" is greyed out. It's starting to do a few different things each device - as far as getting just a little furthur before it errors out. I'm using the rear ports. If I use the headers on themotherboard with an adapter, it almost installs before erroring out.

    What can I do?!

    Come on, Joe :D

Please use a descriptive title to your threads which reflects your problem. Far better chance then that somebody will stop by and assist. Posting Rules - Meaningful Subject

If you disable the SIS (temporarily) on the mobo does that help?
