AGP 4x/8x

    I'm trying to upgrade the video in my Compaq EVO D510 SFF. According to the manual, it requires a 1.5v AGP card, which is equivalent to a 4x card, right?
    Well, I found a graphics card, and it says it is compatible with a AGP 4x/8x slot. Does this mean there is a slot that is a 4x/8x slot, or does it mean that it is compatible with both 8x and 4x?

    Should be compatible with both...

    ie, it's an 8x card but will step down to 4x if other hardware doesn't support it.
