Since update, some of the settings have obviously been changed. This is affecting my Trend PC-cillin programme. Even though I have checked boxes to make sure I get updated files on such, there appears a box saying "Unable to find your Update server. Please check your network settings" This is a bit confusing, as I can still manual update files on PC-cillin, but before update, it just did it automatically.
Please can someone help me with this problem.
Much appreciated to all who reply,
    Thanks,
Lucy:confused: This is the update Re: Internet explorer & outlook express.

Sorry, but I'm confused  (which isn't unusual).

Are you having difficulties using Windows Update or difficulties updating PC-Cillin?

    To brett:
thanks for the reply, I am still in a tizzy over all of this.
I am probably not making myself clear.
I'm running Windows XP & the last 2 critical updates ,
The first being Internet explorer & outlook express.
I did that patch update, & ever since, it's affected my virus programme which is PC-cillin 2000. Now I know there is an update on PC-cillin & wondering if this will solve my problems.
You have to be patient brett, as I am an inexperienced operator, & all of this is more than confusing, it's darn right exasperating!!
Hope I have made myself a little more clearer, but I think I am going to need a professional on this one. (Hoping that's what you are)
    Thanks again,
    Lucy

It might (fingers crossed) just be a temporary problem with Trend's server. Leave it for 24 hours and see what happens.

    Thanks brett,
It's been more than 24 hours, since this all started.
I've been told it's not a big problem, but now I have had to disable automatic updates on PC-cillin, & rely on doing it manually every couple of days.

Microsoft ---GGGGGGRRRRRRR - I wish sometimes they would just leave well enough alone!!
Thanks again, & will get back if I either solve it, or more problems occur.
    Lucy

Sorry, but I don't can't think of anything to suggest other than mailing Trend.

    Thanks brett,
Will mail Trend, & explain my problem, & see if they can come up with any solutions.
