Alternatively, you can uninstall Adobe Reader (33.5 MB), download and install Foxit PDF Reader(3.5MB) from HERE.
It's a much smaller file to download and uses a lot less resources than Adobe Reader.
Note: When installing FoxitReader, make sure to UN-check any pre-checked toolbar, or other garbage.
    On this page:

make sure, you have both boxes UN-checked AND (important!) click on Decline button

Broni, I agree with you that using some alternative reader is much better & hopefully more secure, but the problem is 99% world out there uses Adobe Reader and almost 100% of the corporates use only Adobe Reader and nothing else.

On top of that, some weird programmers have written programs that produce pdf's that can be only opened in Adobe Reader & nothing else.

Be one of that smarter 1%.

I've never seen one. PDF is PDF, so if Adobe will open it, so will FoxIt.

I am one of those 1% smarter one, but I also got to have Adobe Reader as some of the files can't be opened with FoxIt.

If you want I can send such a file to you. I have not been able to open it in Foxit, perhaps you may be.

You don't have to sign up there. Simply click on "Upload file" button.
