    Welcome to WindowsBBS :)

It looks like your BIOS is password protected and presumably you don't know the password?

Check out your manual, but generally the BIOS can be reset by removing the CMOS battery for a few minutes and replacing it. In some cases you need to switch jumpers on the motherboard momentarily - hence - check the manual.

Have you tried a blank password?

Is this a company laptop or your own personal laptop?

because we have people from all walks of life coming into the computer store for repairs
we also get ones that "Steal" Computers and laptops
    not saying you have but....

we require proof of ownership before we even attempt to rectify the situation
as this or even asking on a forum we can see red flags that someone has stolen a computer and cant get in because its password protected

now with that online I tell them to go to their local computer repair store and get the guys to fix it for them (of which they do 9/10 times) and make sure you have receipts

just hope it helps because showing someone to so called hack/crack a admin password can get people into a lot of trouble

    hope you understand,

    thanks for reading ...

There are two ways to go here. In post 6 there is a piece of software (free) that should give you the password. Or figure out the name of your bios and search online for a default bios password.

This will help you get the details of your bios from your registry.(not the password just the details)
