I'm not an Outlook user, but I'm trying to assist someone who's used it in the past. He has a new computer with XP Pro and Office 11 Outlook on it, and he has a huge file of about 800 contacts that he had compiled at another job, some in Outlook and another smaller file in Outlook Express. He wants to import them into his new system to edit. The old contact files are on a CD, and we've been trying to figure out how to import them into Outlook, but so far no luck.

Can anybody detail the steps that are supposed to work for this? I keep finding info that appears to apply to a completely different version of Outlook!

    Not familiar with that version.

I've worked with Office97, Office2000, OfficeXP (2002) and am now using Office2003. I'm not aware of any other versions.

I did notice that the specific release of Outlook on my OfficeXP system at work is 10.x so Office2003 may well be using 11.x but if so, it's easier to follow along if given the major version and SP numbers.
