    Its an Asrock K8Upgrade-760GX with an Athalon 64 CPU. Many thanks for links I'll give them a read.

    The BIOS doesn't show the RAID Contoller, it searches for SATA drives during boot up: and the BIOS doesn't show the SATA dives either, but it does...

    I have a RAID Controller on my mothrboard but no SATA hard drives. Is it acceptable to disable the RAID Contoller in Device Manager ????
