thank's whiskeyman, i can choose which media player i want,they all work fine exept w m p ,i dont care that much about that, other than having it...

you say If you have enabled 'Show hidden files and folders' as above there should be a clump of files coloured blue at the head of the list....
Then navigate to .... pete how do i get to.. C:\WINDOWS\$NtUninstallwmp11$\spuninst\spuninst.exe and double click on spuninst.exe to run....
