I'd like to use NHT Super Zero speakers on this system. They are rated Nom. Impedance 8 Ohms with a suggested amplifier power min of 15 w and max 100w. Also, I'll need to get a 3.5mm mini plug with wires to connect these speakers, something like this, unless you can suggest a better alternative. Also, what gauge wires would you recommend for an 8' run?

If this computer won't put out at least 15w, I also have a pair of RCA speakers with an impedance of 4 Ohm and rated power of 3w, or the computer speakers I am using on my old system: Altec Lansing AVS200 rated at 10K Ohms and 1.3w per speaker.

Rather than getting me the ADATA Legend 850 1 TB M.2-2280 PCle 4.0 X4 NVME solid State drive, my son got me a Lexar 2TB NM620 M.2 2280 PCie Gen3X4 NVMe SSD. I want to use my Samsung 850 EVO 250GB SSD for my OS. Should I plug my 250GB SSD into SATA 0? Will I be given the option to install Windows 11 on that SSD, if the 2TB PCie drive is connected, or should I leave the 2TB PCie disconnected until after the OS is installed? I also have no bays for my DVD burner, so I'm thinking of running a SATA cable through the bottom of the case and then plugging it in when I need to use it. Should I plug my OS into SATA 0, my backup HDD into SATA 1 and use SATA 2 as the cable for the DVD burner? I'll store my documents and programs on the Lexar 2TB SSD.

The PCie SSD can sit just above the GPU or just below the GPU. The GPU fans are on the bottom, and I'm not sure if they pull air upward or push it downward. On the bottom, that would either lead to hot air blowing on the SSD or being sucked across it before going into the GPU. If I place it above the GPU, it would sit between the GPU and CPU and between the two front fans and one rear fan. I'm sensing having it between the GPU and CPU would be better, but I'd like your opinion on that.

Hi Barry, This board has 2 x M.2 slots between the CPU and GPU similar to my Giga X570 layout.
I have both M.2 slots in use. One M.2 SSD has my OS on it to utilise the speed.

Your suggestion of a 250GB SSD with your OS on it connected to SATA Port would not use the quicker M.2 layout.
Are you referring to the Drive bays position regarding placing your 250GB SSD?

Your Amazon connector should be suitable for your speakers.
I have no idea what the sound output from the motherboard would be as I could not see that info on the Gigabyte spec sheet.

My X570 AORUS PRO WIFI board was a Remanufactured board and the Realtek chip onboard gave trouble not long after I set up the comp.
I purchased a Soundblaster card and that has been absolutely great since installation.
I use KYE Brand Genius speakers which I purchased about 8 years ago. They are 8W and 100-20000 Hz range.
A voltage adapter plugs into the wall socket and the master speaker has Tone & Volume & On/Off switches.
They still work great and will blast me out if I adjust the volume on the comp.

If you look in my Preferences, you will see a Ryzen 9 5900X CPU which I recently installed.
I carried out a BIOS upgrade from Gigabyte (as recommended) and used the USB Q Flash on the motherboard.
I had random Restarts, Blue screens and MS trying to do Diagnosis and Repair, and Shut downs.
I found the Ryzen 9 runs a lot hotter than the Ryzen 5 and 7 which I had progressed through
coupled with our Summer Season (warmer temps), I cured the problem by changing the CPU fan to a Noctua
Brand and fitting the extra BeQuiet case fan which I had not needed when I first bought the BeQuiet case.
Lots of fun and learning while I keep getting older.:D:D:D.

Should I just partition my 2TB NVMe2 SSD rather than use a standard SSD, or should I get a smaller NVMe2 SSD to put the OS on? I could partition my 2TB and then use a HDD as backup, while storing everything on the NVMe2 SSD.

I guess I'll have to contact Gigabyte and ask them about speakers.

I've encountered a couple of other issues. The case has 4 cables coming from the front panel. I can plug 3 of the cables into the mobo, but the one for USB 3.2 Type C has nowhere to plug into. I believe I need something that will plug into a PCI Express x1 slot to plug this cable into. Here is what the male plug looks like. [IMG] Do you have any recommendations on what might give me the internal connection for USB type C?

The other issue is there is only one System Fan input, yet there are 3 case fans. What do you recommend? I could use a molex to fan splitter for 2 of the fans and then plug the 3rd fan into the System Fan input. This would only allow one fan to be controlled by the computer, so should that be the top or bottom front fan or the rear fan? Can you recommend a molex to fan splitter?

Should I place the NVMe2 SSD below my GPU or between the GPU and CPU? I figure there will be more airflow between the two.

Barry, I think you should have opted for a Modular construction PSU. This generally gives you a better range of cables and connections.

    https://asia.evga.com/products/product.aspx?pn=220-B3-0650-V1
Click on the Images and then you will get an idea of how different the cable selection is.
This is the unit in this comp I'm using.

Yes, I would go for the 250GB NVMe2 SSD card for the OS (C:)
There is only so much they can squeeze into a Micro ATX board.:(

On the Gigabyte Features views, there is only ONE PCIe slot on the board.
I have always used FULL ATX motherboards. More space etc.
My X570 has the header on the board for the Type "C" but my BeQuiet case didn't have a Type "C" connector in the Front Cover.
I purchased a connector adapter with cable and 19 pin header connector and cut a slot in my case top and installed with the 2 screws
supplied in the kit. There is a Type "C" connector on the M/B panel, but the one I installed gives an easy access on the front of the case.;)

My case is 233 m/m wide and will accommodate large Graphic cards and large cooling fans.
I've learned over the years to have plenty of room for expansion.

I would do a search on Amazon for computer cables with the type of connectors you want.
Likewise, you may be able to find an adapter for the type "C" to plug into a USB connection.
It won't be as fast as the dedicated Type "C" header on an ATX size board.:(.

I understand where you’re coming from regarding modular PSUs. My present computer has an XFX-750W-BES, but this is a gift from my son, and I don’t want to be unappreciative and say I want more. The new system is better and faster than my present system, so I’m happy. I’ll just get a fan hub, so I can plug all the fans into the system fan header, rather than have some fans running constantly at full speed. Here are the top two options I’ve found, though I’m open to other suggestions. I like the Noctua, though it would limit me if I found a need for more fans in the future. https://www.amazon.com/Noctua-NA-FC1-4-pin-PWM-Controller/dp/B072M2HKSN?crid=322JSDU4Z53YB&keywords=pwm+fan+controller&qid=1699309595&sprefix=pwm+fan+controlle,aps,198&sr=8-5&th=1&linkCode=sl1&tag=nerdtechy-20&linkId=ca842f609f318610486741e518b801bb&language=en_US&ref_=as_li_ss_tl

I only have the 2TB NVMe2 SSD card, not a 250GB one. I could either partition my 2TB card or I could get an additional Lexar 256GB NVMe2 SSD card (LNM620X001T-RNNNU). Which do you recommend? I do like having my OS separate from the rest of my computer, in case I need to reset the OS without losing my files. If I put the NVMe2 SSD card in the lower slot, the GPU covers 4.5mm of the card and sits 6.35mm above the card. Any NVMe2 SSD card in the upper slot is only 1.2mm from the GPU. What are your thoughts about heat sinks on these NVMe2 SSD cards? Because of the closeness, I’d be limited to about a 24mm width on the top one and 6mm above the card for the lower one. If I use two cards, which should be the operating system? I figure it should be the one on top (between the GPU and CPU), as that area probably has the greatest airflow. Do you have any recommendations for heat sinks? I’m thinking I might be able to fit the Sabrent https://sabrent.com/products/sb-htsk or I could go with the BeQuiet MC1 Pro https://www.bequiet.com/en/accessories/2252 For the lower card, I’d be limited to something like this: https://www.newegg.com/p/27J-008U-0...MIx-a166vxgwMV9g-tBh0PaAs-EAQYBiABEgJ0G_D_BwE

I’ve been looking into PCIe X1 compatible Type-E A-Key cards, but they all seem to have poor reviews, with low speeds, failure to wake after sleep mode and short life span. https://www.amazon.com/BEYIMEI-Expa...WMGC/ref=cm_cr_arp_d_product_top?ie=UTF8&th=1

If I can’t find a solution that offers reliable fast speeds, I’ll just pass on the option. After all, the only USB-C device I have is my cellphone. Maybe there’ll be better options when I do get other USB-C devices. Let me know if you’ve discovered better options.

I’ve been waiting for a reply to this post, but I realize I failed to press the post button. Let me post it and see what your thoughts are.

I just made a more accurate measurement of the space available for the heat sink, and realized I can only have .94" (23.8mm) width for the upper NVMe2 SSD card, though I have 9.5mm height clearance between the SSD and the GPU for the lower NVMe2 SSD card. I'm reading mixed reviews as to whether having a heatsink or thermal pad is helpful or not, so I don't know who to believe. Here are some options that seem to fit:
    https://www.jeyi.com/products/jeyi-...ctive-nvme-cooler-passive-heat-sink-with-fins
    https://www.amazon.com/GRAUGEAR-Dis...lpcontext&ref_=fplfs&psc=1&smid=AUDKLBLLNT486

    https://www.amazon.com/GLOTRENDS-NVMe-Heatsink-M-2-2280/dp/B07LCQLC8Y?th=1
For the last one, I could use the taller one for the upper card and shorter one for the lower card.

Hi Barry, Your Amazon Thermaltake unit looks like a unit which will fit behind the M/B very neatly.
Applying the manner in which most laptops employ the setup for storage, usually an NVMe2 SSD of 250GB's becomes C:
    A 1TB 2.5" SSD stores everything else. (D:) ;)
My comp has the smaller SSD M.2 with a Thermal pad on it on the bottom.
The 1TB SSD M.2 on top has a Thermal pad of about 4-5 m/m thickness and has been satisfactory so far.

Speccy indicates a running temp of 33*C currently.

Your Amazon and Aliexpress Type "C" cards are both the same, so your choice of price but that would be the answer for your 19 pin connector.
As you probably realize, it's 11,57am on the 23/01/2024 where I am so there's a night and day factor in answering your Posts.
    Cheers Neil.

Neil, I realize the time difference, yet it's not very helpful when I forget to click on post and just sit around waiting for a response.

By putting the Thermaltake behind the mobo, I gather it shouldn't produce any heat and need to be in the airflow. The Noctura would be too thick to place in that area. I'll order the Thermaltake along with the Lexar 256GB NVMe2 SSD card (LNM620X001T-RNNNU). Wouldn't the smaller SSD with the OS run hotter than the larger one I'll just use for storage? That would mean setting up the smaller SSD in the greater airflow and with the largest heatsink, so I'll put it between my GPU and CPU and just find the largest heatsink that will fit. I'll have to wait till tomorrow, when I pick up my CPU and see how large the stock cooler is. I'm assuming it won't get any closer to the SSD than my GPU is (1mm). I'm not sensing you have a preference for the heatsink. I'll call around tomorrow to clarify the exact dimensions before I choose the ones I'll get. I'm leaning toward Sabrent SB-HTSK for the upper card and the Gelid Subzero for the bottom one.

I decided to go with the Silverstone TP05 rather than the Gelid Subzero, as it has good reviews and is put together with screws rather than silicone bands.

I just cancelled my order for the Lexar 620 M.2 SSD, as I discovered that port operates from the CPU and is Gen 4.0, not 3.0. I asked them to send me their 800 Pro instead, as the speed is significantly faster. I also discovered 512GB cards are much easier to find and cheaper to buy than 256GB cards, so that is what I got. I'll definitely have a fast operating system, though it is sitting just 1mm from my GPU. I just hope I can keep it cool. I ordered the Thermalright HR-10 2280 Pro and hope I can get it to fit.

Barry, My apologies. This link will show the board in my comp.
You should be able to see the two M.2 holders, one is adjacent to the CPU and the 2nd one is between the PCIe slots.
Both of the M.2's have Thermal Guards provided. (in the details shown).
Comp has been running for over 10 hours today and the pair of them are running at 33*C temp.

My Asus board was the one I had to use Thermal pads on and I've never had any problems with the NVMe2 SSD's overheating under normal use.
My only reservation is that I;m talking about ATX size boards.

Here is what I'm putting together. I've given up on the USB-C connection, and I find it strange that this mobo doesn't have wifi/blue tooth capability. I'll have to figure out what I want to do about that.
