I have tried every way I've found to totally remove Onedrive from my system, but my Documents and Pictures system folders are still in the Onedrive folder. I have gone to Properties for the Documents and Pictures and selected Location>Default which would move them out of the Onedrive folder but it won't let me do it. Anybody have the real fix?

Thanks for the suggestion. Unfortunately, I have already uninstalled OneDrive and I think I probably caused my problem by uninstalling it before properly shutting it down first. I tried reinstalling it and stopping sync and closing it, then uninstalling it again, but that didn't help.

Have you tried running SFC /scannow?
Also have you used Troubleshooting in Control Panel?
Otherwise you made need to do a Fresh Install.

Do you need the files within the One Drive folder? You should be able to copy them anywhere...

BUT...Google-> Take Ownership of Folder to get more control.

    No change.
That's what I was afraid of.

Yes but then they would no longer be recognized as System Folders.
Done that, no help there either.

    Why is "System Folder" important?

Can you copy the files and or delete them?

If they're not System Folders, then they're no longer included in This PC, Libraries, automatic backups or anywhere else that System Folders are normally found, making it more difficult when working with them. Windows defaults to System Folders when doing almost anything.

Yes I can copy and/or delete the files and have done so.

Thanks for the link. I have done that a couple of times including just now, again, but it just doesn't work for me. It doesn't matter whether OneDrive is installed or not, nothing changes. My Documents and Pictures system folders remain in the OneDrive folder, no matter what I do. At this point I'm admitting defeat. I'll just live with it until I have to reinstall Windows for some other reason.

Thank you, guys for giving your best shot at trying to help me. It is very much appreciated.

I think the only solution to that issue is to either move the folders out of the OneDrive folder manually or reinstall Windows 10 from scratch and make sure to not enroll in OneDrive so that those folders don't go into the OneDrive folder.
