Rather than simply tinkering, unnecessarily, with the screen and so on, why not concentrate on reducing the ridiculous mount of bloat and other intrusive nonsense in the OS?

Quick startup, for example, if not quite instant, would be good idea. Make it mean and lean and it might be worth the effort - eventually.

How long does it take for your W10 comp to "Startup"?
More than 15 to 20 seconds?

All my units are at Desktop within 30 seconds with W10 Home, Pro and Insider OS's.
If the comp is taking longer, the hardware and or too much going on at Startup will be the problem.

Here's something to ponder. My dedicated "Insider" comp has just been updated to Windows 11 Pro Update 21H2.
    This comp is running:
    AMD Phenom 11x4 965 CPU 3.4GHz
    8GB RAM DDR3.
    Asrock 970 Pro3 M/B.
    NVIDIA Gforce GT630.
I wonder how it passed the MS PCHealth check!!

It seems that most computers more than a few years old will not be able to update to Win11 even some new computers on sale now will not be able to update, Does Microsoft really believe that people will scrap millions of Pc's just to upgrade they must be living in cloud cuckoo land or maybe they just want to add to the landfill problem we already have !!!!!

Do you think the M$ really cares? They have known about vulnerabilities for years and took years to patch them by starting with band aids on them.

The TPM requirement seems to be the sticky one.
Youtube has many suggestions on how to check and Enable TPM or Security Devices in BIOS which varies greatly in motherboards.
I found it was possible to enable through BIOS but it seemed to be quite important to Save each individual change made in BIOS.
This means making careful re-entries into the BIOS area after each change.

There are 4 or more ways around the TPM thing. I tried all, and the best one is to take the file "install.esd from a win 10 ISO and copy it into win11 ISO. It works well on an old AMD with only 8 gigs of ram. The file install.esd is huge, like 3 GB, so if you are using an 8 gig stick you will have to remove the win11 one first. I find it fun doing workarounds.
