Microsoft are trying to get us (well, me at least) to set Edge as the default browser.

As a side note I can inform you that it now appears on the LapTop as well. This morning when I started the LapTop and checked Windows Update via Settings, it was there. No new updates installed, well, not any that they told me about. This indicates to me that Microsoft grants themselves access to our computers, messing with them at their own discretion. They can do anything they want and who can say that our personal data is safe? Criminal behaviour ... ... it is!

I found the answer to your problem. You can even get a matching watch to go with it. [IMG][IMG]

See the attachment for how your post appears on my screen.

When quoting your post to ask what you mean, the pictures behind the "red crosses" appear. I don't dare ask if everyone else but me saw the pictures?

Posting the quote where the pictures appear failed, the red crosses appear on my screen, not the pictures of an "apple" and a "watch". I took and attached a second screenshot. I'm not smoking anything illegal but what's going on? Are everyone else seeing the pictures and not red crosses? Is Firefox the culprit?

why not removing edge completly and use ur favorite browser... so many windows tweaks are available on the net.. to be able to get rid of microsoft edge... so we can use our favorite web browser... search this maybe u won't have any watermark nag screen asking yourself to do some **** from microsoft... not just edge message... but removing edge completly isnt a bad thing to make if u prefer to use others web browser other than microsoft edge... it doesn't messed up the updates of your system you can make thereafter...if you're afraid to use tweakers cause u don't trust any... then u can use any application uninstaller to help get rid of windows modern apps... even if protected by trusted-installer system user... like iobit uninstaller or revo uninstaller those might be your best solution... even if windows10 is the latest version u have installed on your system.... doesn't mean u need to use MICROSOFT APPS if you got ur own apps selection u been using thru all those past years...so simply just get rid of it... and use whatever apps u want to accomplish same task as MICROSOFT **** APPS would do...just clean system from modern apps u doesnt want...!

    Hi Patrick - welcome to WindowsBBS ... :) ... !

Well, Edge itself doesn't bother me. As long as I don't touch it, it stays in its cave and I happily use Firefox.

Also, I can't uninstall Edge since participating in a Microsoft Teams meeting requires the user to either install an App (not sure if it's free or not) or to connect using Edge. In this context, Edge is the least evil, I think. Maybe I'll install the App if I find that using Teams gets frequent enough to warrant it (free or not).
