Resolved Win 10 Itunes wont restore my iPad Pro backup

    I am trying to restore my last iPad pro backup. OS is IOS 14, latest version of iTunes. Receive error iCloud setting for Findmy app is not set to Off. I set it to off and still get the same message. Re booted everything. I had just updated my iPad from ios13 to ios14 and now some of my apps which are supposed to work no longer work. In order to get them to work just decided to go back to previous version and to heck with new IOS. Is there any other way to restore my back up other then thru iTunes? Any other things to try? Thank You

    Yes, of course I do, but Microsoft has now taken over iTunes when on a PC. So I am now having to use a Microsoft product on my Windows platform even though iTunes is for an Apple product. Windows 10 now uses iTunes as a Windows app. That is why I posted here under other software. This started with Apple IOS14

    If your upgrade to IOS14 came from Apple - I would suspect that source as the reason.
    iTunes is a software program? IOS14 is your main OS.

    Yes but I am using iTunes software on windows 10 which is now considered Microsoft software on my pc and that is what I Am trying to use for the restore backup. That change came with iOS14. I need to know how to get that iTunes program to do the restore. Prior to this yes iTunes was Apple and not listed by Microsoft. If winbbs won’t help then so be it.

    Well I am sure that if SOMEBODY knew the answer they would tell you. Don't understand your remark of- - - If winbbs won’t help then so be it. If we had all the answers in the world, we would be rich and not here. :p

    Sorry I couldn't help with your problem but I would still be seeking help from Apple if it was my unit.
    As MrBill has stated, if a member has had the experience with Apple products and is surfing the BB they would try and help.
    MS may have taken over iTunes through the Windows Store but I don't think MS would be to familiar with any "bugs" as yet.

    I have tried that other then going to the Apple store which is problematic right now because of the virus. Thanks any way

    Thank You for that link . So far I am also unhappy with ios14 which is why I want to restore my backup which is version 13. I will not be updating my iPhone , just stuck with the iPad one for now
