Resolved Modem error displayed.

    At each start up of Windows 10, error 192.168.0. is shown on screen. What is required to remove this?

    Have you tried unplugging the modem from the power and wait about 10 seconds and plug it back in and then start up your computer?

    I think that 192.168.0. is the IP-address of the router. Does it really say "error"?

    Number is to enable to open into Router for reseting any settings. This has only started up in the past few days. There is no indication of how to stop this opening with Windows startup. It does not show in Task Manager - Startup.

    Bobby, have you gone into Settings > Network > Status > network troubleshoot?

    RL Thanks, tried your suggestion and trouble shooter, stated that it could not find any trouble.
    In Network Profile - Properties: IPv4 address 192.168.0.15 Manufacturer: Intel Corporation
    Intel(R) Dual Band Wireless-AC. Driver 19:51:16.2

    Bobby, If unplugging your Router and waiting for about 30 seconds before connecting and switching power on again doesn't fix itself, I would suggest you do a File Check.
    (sfc /scannow). it sounds like a file corruption may have occurred.

    RL, I carried out a sfc /scannow, showed that no violation was found.
    Tried to switch on Computer and waited before switching the modem on. The error showed on screen, before modem had installed.

    Bobby, have you recently downloaded any software?
    I would suggest you run MalwareBytes to see if you have unwanted PUP's.

    RL, no new software installed except Windows updates. Malwarebytes checks every day with no reference to any PUPs. I have taken note, that the Modem installs at each switch on of computer, and after a few seconds after switch on the 192.168.0.10 screen is shown. This requires me or should open 192.168.0.10 and configure it. I have carried out this, but find nothing amiss.

    Why don't you try switching on your Modem first and wait till the lights stabilize then switch on your computer.

    It appears that on switching the modem prior to or after computer is switched on, appears to have the same effect. This shows that the modem setup is the cause of the error experienced. Opening the 192.168.0.setup, shows no reference to this happening or any guide to changing this. I also see Wi-fi to be disconnected with each instal. Virginmedia who supplied the modem, state the problem is not at heir end but mine, end of matter. I have often said that Virginmedia is the most unco-operative provider in cases of trouble.

    Mr Bill, sorry, I did not realise that I had ignored you, this would be in no way my intention.
    Your suggestion was indeed tried, with no success. I have even tried to reset modem to factory setting, this too appears negative solution. It appears somehow, something has been written in by a third person but not traceable, well to me for sure. Mr Bill as always, your help is always appreciated..

    Bobby, you may need to use ADW cleaner (run by MBAM now) or CCleaner as you may have a redundant Registry entry.

    RL, will do an ADW check. Worse, checked Modem, fails to recognise password for entry.
    Carried out ADW cleaner check, found no errors.

    RL, Yes, it started after I carried out a modem factory reset. This error did not happen with past resets. Inter Net workings does not appear to be effected, normal working.

    Bobby, have you had a look in Device Manager > Network adapters > Do you have a double entry?
