Resolved Clearing creative cloud junk from registry

I recently tried Adobe's Creative Cloud, which may a mess of my other files & programs; so I uninstalled it following Adobe's instructions. Unfortunately I tried to drag the CC Photoshop to the recycle bin manually before I found out that that was not recommended. Now, after closing Photoshop on the CC desktop I still find a multitude of Photoshop keys in the registry, all of which have no value set. There are no other CC registry keys. I'd like to delete these, but doing it one by one will take ages because there are so many of them. My AVG registry cleaner doesn't recognize these keys as junk. So my questions are:

Can I manually safely delete these empty Photoshop keys?

Is there a way to select & delete this group of keys all at once?

OS is win 7 64 bit; I'm used to manipulating the registry. Thanks - edo

 

After sending my queries, it occurred to me that I could group-delete the Photoshop keys: exported the containing key (HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT) to a text file and delete from that as usual. Now I'm going to import this back into the registry as soon as I'm absolutely sure that the omission of the null keys is safe.

 

Why bother ? Deleting keys which are orphaned is not going to impact the system one way or the other.

If you are hell bent on deleting them, the safest course would be to reinstall the program & then uninstall it as per recommended guidelines.

 

You're right, if the junk is harmless no point in getting out of shape over it.

Yeah, I did try that, it didn't uninstall the junk. For my money Adobe's TLC is a PITA

 

Thanks for the warning, I'll think twice before exporting/importing the super key.
