This is never ending!!! I read several posts on how to stop windows from asking for a password. I had been using a pin by the way. I ended up with a second profile on the log in screen and I have to choose between a password and a pin. why is this so tough for microsoft???

If there were no 'hackers' there would be no need for the Security that MS are applying. It's your choice to use a password or not - your Security of your comp is what it's about.

This doesnt answer the question however I figured it out. I checked that checkbook again and turned off the computer. I then logged in and unchecked the checkbox. I then turned off the computer. It's fixed.

Sorry if my reply didn't help, but it is the reason. After making changes with start/passwords you should always Reboot your comp to allow the changes to take effect.
