I am having a problem with the amount of time it is taking to download an update for my TomTom Sat Nav and I would like to know how long should it take to download a 6.6GB file with a 10.0Mbps internet connection.
any help would be very welcome.

    Many thanks for any replies

One byte is eight bits plus overhead (which I'll disregard). 10.0 Mbps is 1.25 MBps. 6.6 GB is 6758 MB. 6758 MB / 1.25 MBps = 5407 seconds = 90 minutes but that's at rated speed which is almost never achieved.
