I have three computers, all running Win 7, on my home network: 1 desktop (Ethernet connected) and 2 Laptops (wireless connected). All three are part of a home group and setup for sharing The desktop can access the laptops and see their folders, etc., but the laptops cannot see the desktop. From either laptop, if I ping the IP address of the desktop, ping times out. This has been working in the past and recently the current problem has begun. I'm reset the router but the problem continues. I'm out of ideas on how to proceed.

Thanks for the feedback. I went through the procedures and the results are the same. The desktop is not visible to either of the laptops but both laptops are visible to the desktop. All running Windows 7. I spent some time with the Verizon networking support guy and tried resetting the router to default settings, changing some router protocols. No change. Everything was restored to the state as it was originally. I'm going to move this to the Networking discussion.

Did you disable Homegroups on all computers? You must configure each computer identically. And if use different usernames & passwords on each computer then you must add the users to each computer.

Yes, I followed the guide, and cannot get all three to see each other. I'm closing this problem and will pursue in networking.
