I can't tell you how many times I've had to perform clean installs of Windows 7 because the upgrade process to Windows 10 messed up computers for my various clients. Its getting ridiculous with Microsoft's sleazy shenanigans.

Surely the manufacturers of the Hardware/Software need to provide Drivers to suit W10!
July 29th isn't too far away!
July 29th isn't too far away!
Having done 4 without any hassle I find the common problem is that W7 users did not spend the time ensuring their PC's were OK before rushing in to install W10. If the W7 user followed all the instructions from MS - there was no problem. There would be millions of PC users complaining if this was a major problem.
Similarly, if a problem occurs with the Upgrade/Install of W10, MS has provided plenty of assistance to correct it.
I'm a happy user of W10 and at my age if I can - what's stopping others? :D

People are resistant to change especially if it is forced upon them.

I've been checking with my wife's PC which is still running W8.1. The upgrade Icon to W10 is still in the systray and when I open it the message appears on the screen offering the upgrade now-tonight-choose time. There has not been any auto upgrade as many have suggested. I still have the opportunity to select when I want it to install! I can set it to upgrade up till the 1st June and any hour during the 24 hours. I have 4 ticks on the report page and viewing the PC report shows all is OK.
The Compatibility report for W10: FAQ is what PC users should look at before clicking upgrade. If the info there is followed- there should not be any problems. Neil.

It is possible to prevent the forced upgrade to 10 if you wish to stick with 8 or 7.
Go to GRC.com and click the 'Never 10' button. The necessary changes are made in the registry to prevent it.
