Resolved [hp Photosmart 8150 Printer No Longer Recognised After Latest Windows Updates]

Greetings all,
I am looking for a little help with "re-accessing" what appears to have become legacy hardware.
I have an HP Photosmart 8150 printer which worked fine up until the last Win 10 pushed update. There are no drivers on the HP website for this printer, the Win 10 drivers don't see it, and will not allow manual configuration, nor will a previous restore point. (for some odd reason, i can only find 'recent' restore points, nothing going back any length of time... possible the push update deemed them as security threats or un-needed?).
I have tried the compatibility feature, the run as, and i am unable to locate the OEM disc..
i am open to suggestions.
If possible please limit replies to the topic, as this ended of on a tangent last time... (i own part of that, i know it)

Since its a very old printer, chances of working are slim. Try it with a Windows inbuilt HP inkjet driver. It may not be optimal but at least it may work

 

I'm going to try the drivers for Win 8x... (a little crazy with school, sorry for the delayed answers)
